Killer Kross, Scarlett Bourdeaux & Timothy Thatcher Makes NXT Debuts

While most of the WWE news on Wednesday revolved around the saddening release of 30 WWE employees due to COVID-19 cutbacks, the night’s episode of NXT featured the debuts of three of NXT’s most anticipated recent signings, as Timothy Thatcher, Killer Kross and Scarlett Bourdeaux all made their official on-screen debuts.

Timothy Thatcher Joins the Broserweights

Down a tag partner due to UK travel restrictions, Matt Riddle was informed via satellite from Pete Dunne that taking Dunne’s spot in the NXT Tag Team Champion unit temporarily would be none other than Timothy Thatcher. It marks the first time we’ve seen Thatcher on WWE TV since signing with the company this past February. Thatcher is a 15-year veteran who learned the ropes in the West Coast indie scene with All Pro Wrestling (APW) and Supreme Pro Wrestling (SPW). In 2014 he began working on the East Coast with EVOLVE Wrestling, becoming the longest-reigning EVOLVE Champion for 596-days. He also began to work regularly in Germany with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) where he would join NXT UK Champion WALTER in Ringkampf, the stable that became Imperium in NXT UK. He worked briefly with Major League Wrestling (MLW) in 2019 before signing with WWE.

Killer Kross Attacks Tomasso Ciampa

In the closing moments of NXT, Tomasso Ciampa was delivering a heartfelt goodbye to Johnny Gargano after losing last week’s feud finale, but it was cut short when he was attacked by an unseen attacker. But the fallen camera picked up the image of Killer Kross bending down to whisper “Tick, Tock” into Ciampa’s ears, with Scarlett Bourdeaux standing tall behind Kross (well, at least her boots). Killer Kross and Scarlett Bourdeaux both joined NXT earlier this year as well from IMPACT Wrestling, where both experienced a national breakout. Kross was also a regular performer for AAA Lucha Libre in Mexico. According to Kross’ new T-Shirt that went up on WWEShop on Wednesday, his name going forward will now be Karrion Kross.
