On Tuesday night, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) revealed the left side of the brackets and the first four competitors in the new 8-man tournament to crown the first-ever TNT Champion in AEW. Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin were announced as the first matches for the tournament starting next week on AEW Dynamite. On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the final four participants were revealed, and the TNT Championship tournament was officially set.

Kip Sabian vs. Dustin Rhodes
Former UK indie standout Kip Sabian takes a step up and enters the TNT Championship tournament, after a lengthy run with his girlfriend, Penelope Ford, and her ex- Joey Janela. He’ll be facing off against Dustin Rhodes in the opening round as it comes down to youth vs. experience.
Lance Archer vs. Colt Cabana
Two of AEW’s more recent signings meet face to face in the opening round. Colt Cabana has been on a hot streak since debuting a few weeks ago in AEW, while Lance Archer just made his in-ring debut on Wednesday. Archer has got to be an early favorite to win the TNT Championship, especially if he ends up meeting Cody Rhodes in the final.
