They also revealed that any donation taken via the Super Chat feature in the YouTube chat during the broadcast will be donated directly to Chris Dickinson during this downtime for indie wrestlers due to lack of opportunity from the COVID-19 shutdowns.
It’s odd to consider that a nearly 18-year veteran of the US indies had a “breakout” year in the business, but for Chris Dickinson, who debuted in the summer of 2002, he had just that. Not to say that Dickinson has been a slouch before last year – he’s long been one of the most underrated performers on the circuit. But all the stars aligned last year and between his MVP like run on the first two seasons of Beyond’s Uncharted Territory, his work with Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) at multiple events (including his Japanese debut), his debut with AAA Lucha Libre in Mexico, and his big fight after big fight, Chris Dickinson exploded to the upper echelon of the US indie scene. Not including the 10 matches being streamed on Thursday night, Dickinson has some instant classics the past year with the likes of David Starr, Homicide, Kris Statlander, Tony Deppen, Allie Kat, and AJ Gray. If you’ve even been curious to find out what the buzz is about “Dirty Daddy” Chris Dickinson, the marathon on Thursday night is a great place to start.
