It’s Official: British Bulldog to HOF, Davey Boy Jr. To Induct

British Bulldog

Last night on Corey Graves WWE podcast, After the Bell, it was confirmed that “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith would be inducted into the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class and his son, Davey Boy Smith Jr. would be inducting his late father. Smith Jr. re-shared the news on Thursday. Bulldog had previously reported to being an inductee this year.

Considered long overdue by fans and peers alike, the British Bulldog becomes the latest member of the Hart Foundation to be inducted posthumously, as Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart was inducted last year in 2019, while Bret “Hitman” Hart was originally inducted in 2006. Bulldog worked off and on for the WWF from the mid-1980s to 2000, with two short stints in WCW mixed in, and was preparing for another comeback when he passed away in 2002. Smith ended his career as a former WWF Intercontinental Champion, 2x WWF European Champion, 2x WWF Hardcore Champion, and 2x WWF World Tag Team Champion.
