Preview: OTT – ScrapperMania 6 (3/14/20)

ScrapperMania 6

It’s time for the biggest show of the Over The Top (OTT) Wrestling calendar as OTT hosts ScrapperMania 6 at the sold-out National Stadium.  This show features the debut of Jon Moxley as he takes on OTT World Champion David Starr.  This is a well-built show featuring some of Ireland’s top names facing off against international stars with a lot of OTT regulars vying for titles.

Team OTT (Sean Guinness, Paddy M, Terry Thatcher & ???) vs The O.J.M.O, Mike Bailey, Eddie Kingston & Black Taurus

The rules of this match are reminiscent of the Know Your Enemy Golden Contract match from ScrapperMania 4.  The surprise entrant will likely be kept a secret to kick the show off with a surprise pop with rumors floating around that it may be the returning Charlie Sterling.  The amount of talent in the ring is unbelievable as the team of Taurus, Kingston, O.J.M.O, and Bailey features 4 unbelievable workers.  We also have Paddy M looking to get revenge on Kingston after their match at Kings, Monsters And Bastards.

Dan Barry, Katey Harvey & Toni Storm vs Woke Queens (Debbie Keitel & Valkyrie) & CT Flexor

The Woke Queens fell on some hard times after Valkyrielost the women’s title.  They realized that they needed CT Flexor back and set off on a quest to find CT.  At Kings, Monsters And Bastards they made up as Flexor forgave the queens.  Dan Barry appeared on screen and questioned Flexor’s decision to forgive the two women that had mistreated him for so long.  He promised to smack some sense into Flexor and is bringing along some backup of his own in Katey Harvey, who has her own issues with the Woke Queens, and Toni Storm.

B. Cool & Joe Cabray vs True Pros (Micheal May & Liam Royal) W/ J-Money

The story between B Cool and Joe Cabray (Luther Ward) has been playing out over the past few months.  Cool has been a fun thorn in the side of Cabray, constantly needling him for a title show (despite never winning) and saying some rather controversial things on shows.  This led to Cabray booking B to face Liam Royal.  The True Pros took things too far though and tried to permanently injure B. Cool, this brought out Cabray who sent the trio packing.  At ScrapperMania 6 the two frenemies will attempt to defeat the unbeaten tag-team.

OTT Women’s Championship: Sammii Jayne (C) vs Amy Allonsy

Young Amy Allonsy has the biggest match of her career when she takes on two-time OTT Women’s Champion Sammii Jayne.  Allonsy earned this opportunity at Kings, Monsters And Bastards when she won a triple threat match against Debbie Keitel and Session Moth Martina.  Allonsy is someone that the fans are really behind as they have seen her grow from her first appearance back at the very first Contenders show to now.  Sammii Jayne doesn’t care about any of that though, she is one of the most successful women’s wrestlers in Europe and has wrestled on some of the biggest stages in European Wrestling.  Big matches are nothing new to Jayne and that experience may give her an edge over her less experienced opponent.

PAC vs LJ Cleary

LJ’s two stablemates have a big match on this show as they take on Moustache Mountain for the OTT Tag Team Championships.  Not to be left out LJ Cleary made the challenge to PAC.  While Cleary is a member of MTH and has won tag team gold in multiple companies he is also an accomplished singles performer, he is a two-time Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion after all.  This match could be a real coming-out party for LJ Cleary as he takes on AEW star and former Open The Dream Gate Champion PAC.

NLW Championship: Scotty Davis (C) vs Omari

A highly anticipated rematch of the clash these two had at the More Than Hype Christmas Party in December.  That match finished in an unfortunate double DQ and tensions have only heightened between these two ever since.  Every time these two men share a ring it delivers absolute gold and you can guarantee they will both be going out here to steal the show and walk out with the title.  Omari has become an adopted Irishman by the OTT faithful and a win for him could be a real star-making moment.

OTT Tag Team Championships: Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) (C) vs More Than Hype (Nathan Martin & Darren Kearney)

A rematch that has been a long, long time coming.  These two teams were originally supposed to clash at Fifth Year Anniversary but Bate missed that show via injury.  Since then MTH has only become more hungry to capture the OTT tag team titles, while fans have gotten more and more tired of MM being absentee champions.  ScrapperMania 6 is MTH’s time to take their place on the throne by dethroning one of the most dominant and talented teams the UK scene has ever produced.

Jon Moxley vs David Starr

OTT World Champion David Starr takes on AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in a hotly anticipated matchup.  Starr is not Moxley’s biggest fan claiming Moxley is only here for a payday and that going from one billionaire company to another is not a paradigm shift or a real change.  Whether Jon Moxley is paying attention or not he’s never one to turn down a fight, if Starr wants to fight then Moxley will be more than up to the task of fighting back.  This is a big, big match and the crowd at the National Stadium are in for a treat with this one.
