While the eyes of the world were on AEW Revolution Ring Of Honor (ROH) was holding its Gateway To Honor event. In the main event of the show, ROH Champion PCO defended his title in a triple threat match against Mark Haskins and RUSH. Lucha star RUSH would emerge victorious to reclaim the title from the man he lost it to back at Final Battle.

The result of the match was far from clean though. NWA World Champion Nick Aldis attacked PCO with the NWA title which turned the tide in RUSH’s favor. Watchers of NWA Powerrr will remember that Aldis is feuding with Villain Enterprise’s leader Marty Scurll and recently VE member Brody King showed up in NWA alongside Scurll to battle against Aldis’ Strictly Business group. Nick Aldis costing Villain Enterprises the ROH World Championship is just another shot in the brewing war between the two factions as we continue the cross-promotional build to the inevitable Marty Scurll vs Nick Aldis title match.

Former CMLL star RUSH is currently at the top of the wrestling world as he is leading the Los Ingobernables division in AAA and has now reclaimed the ROH World Championship. The ROH division of LI now holds two titles in ROH as RUSH’s world title adds to Dragon Lee‘s ROH World Television Championship. He is also the fifth Lucha star to hold a title in ROH right now as Bandido, Flamita and Rey Horus who hold the trios titles.
