Nick Gage vs. Pagano in Dream Deathmatch at ICW New York

Since being taken over by Danny Demanto, Impact Championship Wrestling (ICW New York) has seen a bit of a shift in its booking, with a series of No Submissions, No DQ, No Rules events called No Holds Barred. The first No Holds Barred event occurred in January (available to watch on IndependentWrestling.tv), with Volume 2 happening Sunday, March 22 in Jersey City, New Jersey, followed by Volume 3 over WrestleMania Week on April 2 in Tampa, Florida. Volume 2 is still solidifying it’s line-up, but it’s got an attractive international dream deathmatch, that will see the King of American Hardcore, Nick Gage, facing one of Mexico’s most violent men, Pagano.

Nick Gage has been a staple on the US hardcore/deathmatch circuit since his debut in 1998. A disciple of Zandig, he made his debut in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) starting in 1999, and amassed a trophy case of gold, as a 4x CZW World Heavyweight Champion, 2x CZW Iron Man Champion, and 5x CZW World Tag Team Champion. After being incarcerated for armed robbery, he returned fulltime to pro wrestling in 2017 and became the new face of Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), holding their World title for an astounding 722-days. He’s also a former IWA Mid South Heavyweight Champion and Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) Absolute Champion, while expanding his wheelhouse with the likes of Beyond Wrestling and CHIKARA.

On March 22, he’s facing one of Mexico’s most violent wrestlers in the clown faced Pagano. Pagano is a 12-year veteran, who got his start in the Mexican indies in 2008. In 2016, he joined AAA Lucha Libre, where he’s become one of the tough gatekeepers, and along the way has also appeared for IMPACT Wrestling and a who’s who list of Mexican independents. The two have faced off before in AAA co-sponsored event last July, but it was in a four-way match that also included Joe Lider and Psicosis, but March 22 marks their first singles encounter with each other.
