Only a few days removed from announcing they’d signed Southern indie star Kevin Ku to a contract and the impending debut of Chris Dickinson, Major League Wrestling (MLW) has announced the signing of Florida wrestler Zachary Cooper to a contract with the company.
A 22-year old prospect from Tampa, Florida, Zachary Cooper started out in the Florida indies in 2015, such as American Combat Wrestling (ACW). Since then he’s expanded beyond the Florida state lines, working with Southern Underground Pro (SUP) in Nashville, Premiere Wrestling eXperience (PWX) in North Carolina, Without A Cause (WAC) in the Pacific Northwest, and Georgia’s ACTION Wrestling. Earlier this year, he made his Germany debut with Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw).
Zachary Cooper is a throwback to the days of the big men that Bruno Sammartino battled,” MLW’s Court Bauer said in a press release. “Mix in a state-of-the-art arsenal and the agility of a luchador and you have a new era heavyweight. Cooper could very well be the next big thing in the sport.”
