#AndNEW: New WrestleZone Tag Team Champions Crowned

WrestleZone

The Aberdeen-based Scottish promotion WrestleZone (WZ) were back at the Montrose Town Hall this past Saturday evening, a night that saw bitter rivals turned best friends Crusher Craib and Connor Inglis shockingly lift the company’s Tag Team Championships from Blue Thunder and William Sterling, marking Crusher’s first reign with the titles and Connor’s first championship overall. Thunder and Sterling had won the championships just two months prior from The Swift Lions (Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions) in the latter’s retirement match.

Throughout the entirety of 2019, Craib and Inglis beat each other black and blue, all stemming from Connor (who has a WrestleZone Training Academy trainee at the time handling security duties for the night) being challenged by ‘The Creator of Carnage’ last January. From that point onwards, the two were embroiled in a fierce rivalry, with Connor scoring two huge upset victories (via rollup). A Christmas Brawl at December’s Christmas Chaos event brought an end to the rivalry, as Connor again pinned Crusher following a Frog Splash, earning the big man’s respect after the match.

More recently, Crusher saved Connor from a post-match beatdown at the hands of William Sterling just a few weeks ago at Summerhill Showdown – Inglis had just failed to win the tag titles in a Handicap Match after his partner, Scotty Swift, had to be removed from the match due to a minor injury (‘The Red Haired Warrior’ has since returned to action). Now, the new best buds of WrestleZone are standing tall as the Tag Team Champions, something that would’ve been unimaginable just a few months ago.
