Just hours before her dream match with Mayu Iwatani, Sareee has had to pull out of Stardom’s Road To Major League show due to acute enteritis and fever according to a Stardom announcement. Sareee’s replacement is Marvelous’ Takumi Iroha. Iroha and Iwatani wrestled to a draw in their last encounter which took place in Marvelous at the company’s first-ever trip to Korakuen Hall
Iroha started her career with Stardom but left to join Marvelous to train under the legendary Chigusa Nagayo. Since joining Marvelous she has developed into one of the best wrestlers in the world. She has the charisma, presence and in-ring ability to be a major star and has recently taken over the day to day running of Marvelous.
Mayu and Takumi recently had interactions at Sareee’s produce show that led to speculation the two could meet down the line in either Marvelous or Stardom but now with this change Stardom has been forced into giving us this match on one day’s notice.
Iroha was recently announced for another big cross-promotional match where she will main event the one night only return of GAEA Japan against Chihiro Hashimoto.
