#WrestleManiaWeek Update on Prestige Wrestling Tampa

Prestige Wrestling Tampa

Prestige Wrestling will be bringing a little taste of the PNW wrestling scene to Tampa for WrestleMania week. They’ve already announced a slew of names as well as a few matches, so let’s get you caught up.

They have joined with many other promotions and groups running Tampa in booking names like EFFY, Warhorse, and Danhanusen. These three have been popping up more and more across the independent scene, winning fans over with their over the top personalities and in-ring styles. All of these wrestlers also have their own shows during WrestleMania week as part of The Collective as well.

Several talents signed for Prestige Wrestling Tampa will be making their debuts for the promotion. These include Jake Something, Shazza McKenzie, Casanova Valentine, and Mance Warner. Casanova Valentine is perhaps best known for death matches and hardcore style work, but that is just one facet of his work. Jake Something is a huge workhorse on the indie scene, making waves in companies like AAW Pro, Black Label Pro, Glory Pro, and many others. Shazza McKenzie is making what has become an annual pilgrimage to the US for her for Mania week.

Ol’ Mancer is the current AAW Pro Heavyweight Champion and will be looking to hit the pay window in Tampa. Levi Shapiro will also debut at Prestige Wrestling Tampa, with Wrestling With Wregret’s Brian Zane in his corner. Returning to Prestige for this event will be Zicky Dice, Simon Grimm, Priscilla Kelly, and MV Young. Zicky has been turning heads with the NWA lately. Grimm has been busy with MLW where Kelly has recently debuted as well. MV will bring his poly-cult to Tampa and will possibly lay down some of his cult rules as well.

In addition to all of these incredible stars from around the country, Prestige will also bring several stars of the PNW to spotlight them as well. The Lucha Ghoul, Sonico, still fresh off an extended tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH will make the trek to Tampa. Joining him will be Team C4, Cody Chhun, and Guillermo Rosas. These two have been very successful in Prestige as a team. Rounding out the group is the devious Drexl. Drexl is a protegee of one Dr. Luther who recently joined AEW. He’s unafraid to take things to the extreme and usually is very successful in that arena.

Three matches have also been announced for Prestige Wrestling Tampa. In a first-time-ever encounter, Danhausen will take on Su Yung. Su has a 50-50 record for Prestige, having defeated Orange Cassidy and lost to the demented Drexl. Danhausen has been adding many promotions to his resume-hausen. Everyone seems to love that Danhausen. Probably not Su Yung, even if she may be the sweet Susie in IMPACT Wrestling, the Undead Bride is still ruthless on the indies.

Alex Zayne will take on Andrew Everett in a first-time singles encounter. These two have crossed paths but in scramble matches. Zayne caught fire in 2019 thanks to GCW and going into 2020, he’s competed for NJPW and done a tour in Japan. Andrew Everett likes to use his size to his advantage, flaunting his giant status. He’s competed for ROH and done appearances in the UK and Ireland.

Hell’s Favorite Harlot, Priscilla Kelly will take on the Heartcore Shazza McKenzie. Both of these women have appeared for All Elite Wrestling and SHIMMER. Kelly holds a victory over Shazza from SHIMMER 114. Their other encounters have been in rumble/battle royal type matches. The Australian grappler has quite a bit more experience than Priscilla, but Kelly’s strength is in her mind games and ability to use that to her advantage. It should be an incredible showcase at Prestige Wrestling Tampa. You can purchase tickets to this show here and follow @WrestlePrestige on Twitter.
