In the main event of EVE‘s WrestleQueendom 3 we had a clash between the Woke Queens (Debbie Keitel & Valkyrie), the Medusa Complex (Millie McKenzie & Charlie Evans) and the makeshift tag team champions of Sammii Jayne and Gisele Shaw. These three teams battled it out to crown a new set of tag team champions in an elimination match and the Medusa Complex were the last women standing, last defeating the Woke Queens.

The “Ace of EVE” McKenzie won last years She-1 and wasted no time in making it known she would be going after the tag team championships with her partner Evans. The Medusa Complex were the favorites to be the first-ever EVE champions but that honor fell to the Wrestle Friends (Jetta & Erin Angel) but now one of the first tag teams in EVE and former Sendai Girls tag team champions have captured the titles they so rightly deserve.
The EVE tag team championships have so far failed to find much stability. The titles were debuted at WrestleQueendom 2 in June of 2019. Since then we have had four different champions. The first champions the Wrestle Friends had to vacate the titles due to Erin Angel’s pregnancy, the Woke Queens shockingly won the titles by winning a mini tournament at EVE Check Yourself, the Woke Queens lost the titles to Jayne and Shaw in December and that particular duo lost the titles just 28 days later to the Medusa Complex.
The titles have failed to really find their footing due to outside factors like Evans going to Japan meaning McKenzie was flying solo for a while and Angel’s pregnancy. Now though the Medusa Complex gets the chance to be the anchors of the division everyone expected them to be when these titles were first announced.
