Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) is back this Saturday to kick start the decade with a stacked show called Vendetta. After a career-long dream came true at the end of 2019, how will the new MCW World Champion Adam Brooks celebrate? Will he be a fighting champion and defend the title? Or will he live up to his ‘Loose Ledge’ moniker with a championship celebration for the ages? Right now though, let’s break down the announced matches so far.

Natural Classics (Tome & Stevie Filip) vs Last Of A Dying Breed (Mike Burr & Ritchie Taylor)
After taking some time away from MCW as they toured abroad, the much-loved duo of the Natural Classics are coming home. This weekend they will take on the newly formed team, Last Of A Dying Breed, following a brief confrontation at the MCW Christmas party. Can the natural chemistry of the brothers overcome the veteran instincts of Mike Burr and the heart of his partner Ritchie Taylor?
MCW Women’s Championship – No. 1 Contender’s Match
Avary vs Kellyanne
With Steph De Lander dominantly reigning over the MCW Women’s division a new, worthy challenger is desperately needed. This weekend, two ladies who are incredibly familiar with each other will once again battle it out for an opportunity to take on the champion. Avary and Kellyanne have a storied rivalry, with numerous clashes throughout 2018 and 2019. This is going to be a very hard-fought match at Vendetta, which could easily go either way.
No Holds Barred
Hartley Jackson vs Caveman Ugg
Back at MCW Nine in October, these two men went to battle, with Hartley Jackson coming out on top. However, the war wasn’t over there. After a confrontation between the two at WRESTLEROCK in December, hostilities have flared again. This weekend the two monsters will look to finally settle the score in a No Holds Barred encounter. Both men can take an inhuman amount of punishment, so expect this one to be a brutal affair.
MCW Intercommonwealth Championship
Danny Psycho (c) vs Royce Chambers
Since capturing the MCW Intercommonwealth Championship, Danny Psycho has never backed down from a challenge. This weekend the fighting champion will battle a rapidly rising newcomer to the MCW scene. In the latter half of 2019, Royce Chambers blew up in the Australian wrestling scene. Chambers’ high-flying style has seen him capturing the minds and hearts of wrestling fans around the country. This weekend at Vendetta he is rewarded with the biggest opportunity of his career. Can the champion, who isn’t afraid to fly around the ring himself, use his veteran knowledge to overcome the young upstart and stop his rise dead in its tracks?
Will Ospreay vs Dowie James
After months of jibes back and forth over social media, Will Ospreay will finally get his chance to shut the smug mouth of Dowie James. Fresh off an incredible bout at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 14, Ospreay may be headed into this one slightly fatigued. However, Ospreay is a true professional and as such will certainly not be taking James lightly. Ever since James returned to MCW he has had a smug, arrogant attitude. An attitude which has rubbed not only the fans but also fellow wrestlers, the wrong way. This weekend at Vendetta, James may come to regret his trash talk when he faces arguably the best wrestler of 2019.
