WWE recently ended its decades long affiliation with Sky Sports in the UK. It had already been announced that RAW and SmackDown were to air on BT Sport from now on. BT Sports made a bombshell announcement on New Year’s Eve that they would also be showing both NXT AND NXT UK in the new year.
You want NXT? You got it.
BT Sport will be showing NXT and NXT UK from January 2020 🙌

This is big news for NXT UK especially. NXT’s European arm had been rumoured to be searching for a TV deal to increase the brand’s reputation and now it comes in a package alongside all of the WWE’s other televised shows.
It will be interesting to see how this affects the WWE Network as NXT and NXT UK, alongside 205 Live, were meant to be network exclusive content to keep subscriptions. Will we finally see Independent companies join the WWE Network to fill the gap?
For the NXT UK performers, this is a big day as their work in building the UK scene to become one of the hottest in the world has been rewarded with a television deal on one of the biggest sports channels in the UK. Many NXT UK roster members have been quick to express their delight at this news.
