The final All Elite Wrestling from their inaugural year was here as Dynamite aired live from Corpus Christi, Texas. They kicked off with a commercial-free, first-time-ever tag team match and finished with an AEW World Tag Team Championship bout. It was clearly a full hands-on-deck type of night for AEW. Let’s see how they faired as we take a look at the highlights.

One week after Hangman Page and Kenny Omega got the win despite not being fully cooperative, they were met with another match against one of the best tag teams AEW has to offer in the Lucha Brothers, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix. As one can imagine, this match was physical. The brothers managed to control a lot of the match while Omega and Hangman didn’t seem to always be on the same page. Omega finally got to tag in Page so he could do some “Cowboy Sh*t”. Tope after tope by Page on both Pentagon and Fenix as he aimed to close the match and get the huge win for him and Omega. After a good surge, the Lucha Bros managed to take the advantage back.
Page had to look to his partner to get any offense again, which led to them getting the advantage back and working well as a team. Omega attempted a V-Trigger on Pentagon but was met with a Swingblade. The teams battled back and forth again. Finally, Pentagon went for a Package Piledriver but did not manage to. Omega locked him into a Tiger Suplex attempt so Hangman could hit the Lariat but instead hit Omega. Hangman was dumped to the side and this allowed the Lucha Bros to hit the Assisted Package Piledriver for the win.
Darby Allin Delivers For Cody, Wants His Match
It's the Butcher & the Blade vs. @codyrhodes & @darbyallin – Which team will gain the victory tonight?

Darby Allin made it very clear last week when he told Cody he would help him against Triple B (The Butcher, The Blade, The Bunny) as long as he gets a rematch from their draw months ago. Not only did he deliver on his promise, but so much so that they got the win. Allin hit a Coffin Drop onto the Butcher, leaving Cody alone to go for this. Cody hit the Cody Cutter on the Blade to win the match. Darby stared him down following the bout to make it perfectly clear that he still wants that match even though they had worked so well.
January 1st.

Hikaru Shida? Yep. Britt Baker? You know it. Kris Statlander has been with All Elite Wrestling for a very short time but has already established herself as the number one contender for Riho’s AEW Women’s Championship. Statlander reversed the Lock Jaw of Britt Baker into the Big Bang Piledriver to become the number one contender, officially. She has been a blessing to the AEW world and even declined the garbage offer to join the Nightmare Collective. It will be Riho defending her championship against “The Alien” on the first Dynamite of 2020.
Dynamite of the Night: The Rise Of Jungle Boy Begins Vs. #LeChampion Chris Jericho
#LeChampion said he couldn't last 10 minutes! Jungle Boy did it!

All night long, All Elite Wrestling finally hyped up one of their unknown talents in Jungle Boy. First, they displayed a video package that highlighted everything Chris Jericho said about Jack Perry two weeks ago. And prior to the match, they showed a sit down between Jim Ross and Jungle Jack himself. Jungle Boy made note that he views Jericho as two people. The man he is now, and the legend he has built for himself. He noted he was not scared of Chris Jericho the man, but respected the legend he has become. Before getting to the match, JR made note of Jungle Boy’s father, the late Luke Perry, and what he would have been thinking about him going head-to-head with the AEW World Champion. Jungle Boy knew he would be proud, and he was going to do his best to make him even prouder by showing he chased his dream.
A note. This match had just a 10-minute time limit, being called the “10-minute challenge”. “Le Champion” made his way down to the ring first with Jake Hager and eventually Sammy Guevara by his side. The family of Jungle Boy was in the crowd as he looked up into the heavens before the biggest match of his life. Not too shockingly, the young competitor used his speed early to surprise Jericho. He was a second from pinning Jericho on a roll-up before Jericho got up and jumped onto the attack. The crowd got behind Jungle Jack who was hit with a Codebreaker but managed to kick out. Jericho dumped him to the outside, which led to Luchasaurus and Jack Hager going at it on the outside. This led to them being removed from outside the ring, leaving it down to Jericho and Jungle Boy.
Jungle Boy found an opening and hit Jericho with not one, not two, but three different topes to the outside. Jericho was railing and the 22-year-old found himself close to a win over and over again. The champ attempted a lionsault and missed, which was answered by a lionsault by Jungle Boy and hit it. Just as he was feeling it, Jericho hit a clothesline and hurt the hopes of Jungle Jack and the fans surrounding. With a minute and 20 seconds left on the clock, Jericho rolled into the Walls of Jericho. It got under a minute and the young competitor would not give up and did all he could to get to the bottom rope. “Le Champion” walked to the center of the ring as the clock ticked down. Jungle Boy survived. Even with seconds to go and Jericho wrenching back on Jungle Boy, he kept going. The champion was angered and demanded five more minutes.
Jericho got it and began to slap the 22-year-old who skinned the cat when Jericho thought he had his number. Pinfall attempt after pinfall attempt and Jungle Boy was so close. “Le Champion” walked out with his title as he had enough. The rise of Jungle Boy has begun. 2020 is going to be a huge year for this young man. Book it.
