The Joshi wrestling scene (Japanese Women’s Wrestling) is a deep scene full of insanely talented performers and every month there are dozens of fantastic matches from promotions from Stardom to Pure-J and everywhere in between. This month had a runaway winner as two career rivals had one of their most dramatic and violent clashes yet. With changes to NicoPro and this writer not knowing some shows expire there were some missed uploads this month but we still have ten of the best Joshi matches from companies like Stardom, Sendai Girls and Marvelous etc.
Important Note (Due to some matches not airing as of the time of writing some presumably great matches can’t be ranked)
10.Jungle Kyona & Konami vs Arisa Hoshiki & Tam Nakano
Started slow with an extended period of DreamShine working over Kyona’s arm but once they decided to kick it up a notch the action was fun. This gets in mostly because we couldn’t watch Lulu Pencil vs Mei Suruga from EVE but it’s worthy of the number 10 spot as it was a fun tag match.
9. Mayu Iwatani vs Bea Priestley
Mayu plays the babyface really well and that worked off of Priestley’s controlling heel style really well. Priestley herself showed off more than usual, pulling out great suplexes and strikes to keep the pressure on Mayu. This worked very well and the crowd was hot for Mayu getting the win which means Bea did her job well.
8. Mio Momono vs Chiyako Nagashima vs Miyuki Takase
One of the only Mio Momono matches to have made its way online from her brief comeback. Joshi three-way dances are always more innovative than the standard that we’re used to but add Mio Momono to the mix and you have yourself a really good and unique match.
7. Takumi Iroha & Syuri vs Nagisa Nozaki & Chihiro Hashimoto
A step below the usual Marvelous tag team main events but really good nonetheless. As always Takumi’s interactions with Chihiro were fantastic as those two went to war with one another. The finish to this one was cool as it set up a WAVE title defense for Iroha as she was choked out by Nozaki.
6. Meiko Satomura & Syuri vs Yuu & Chihiro Hashimoto
A fun match from Sendai Girls Royal Tag Tournament. The highlight of the match was the finishing stretch which resembled a Meiko vs Chihiro singles match as the student and teacher teased a title match and traded big shots.

5. Arisa Hoshiki vs Jamie Hayter
Hayter attempted to slow the match down and keep Hoshiki grounded. The finish to this one was fantastic as Hoshiki had to throw several hard strikes to finally keep Hayter down. Hoshiki continues to be Stardom’s MVP as she hasn’t rested on her laurels but instead continues to add to her arsenal
4. Meiko Satomura & Syuri vs Sareee & Ayame Sasamura
Sendai Girls tag team main event comes up trumps again with the typical high paced, hard-hitting main events we’re used to from Sendai Girls shows. Sasamura is fantastic in her role as she sells really well and gets you hyped for the eventual Sareee hot tag and Sareee letting loose.

3. Sakura Hirota & Aja Kong vs Syuri & Meiko Satomura
A really fun comedy match with Sakura Hirota once again showcasing her skills as the best comedy wrestler in the world. Aja Kong didn’t legally tag in once but was the MVP with her constant berating of her partner Hirota.

2. Yuu vs Chihiro Hashimoto
A really good hoss battle between these two. The pace was kept high and the strikes were impactful. Not to mention some of the lariats looked like they should’ve taken heads off shoulders. A really fun match that only went seven minutes but packed in everything it needed to

1. Hair vs Hair – Nanae Takahashi vs Arisa Nakajima
Before the match began we had a video that showed off some of the hair vs hair matches from Joshi history. That set us up for the drama and intensity that this match would bring. Every time Nakajima and Takahashi share a ring they have one goal, and that’s to beat the hell out of one another, this match was no different as the twenty-six minutes flew by with the two trading some big shots and stiff strikes until eventually there was a winner.
