Pro Wrestling: EVE present’s their annual round-robin tournament the She-1 this weekend. The tournament showcases some of the best women’s wrestlers from all over the world and this year is no different with Gatoh Move’s Mei Suruga, Nicole Savoy, Mercedes Martinez, and the legendary Jazz all taking part in the tournament.
She-1 2019 Block A
Mercedes Martinez
A legend of women’s wrestling Mercedes Martinez headlines block A. An eighteen-year veteran Martinez has long been regarded as one of the best unsigned talents in the world and has recently made appearances for AEW. She has captured titles in promotions all over the world from Australia to the US and even the UK where she is the current Bellatrix World Champion
Aleah James
James has come out of nowhere to be one of the scene’s breakout stars in 2019. Her biggest opportunity to date has come as part of Schadenfreude & Friends which has elevated her into a known name in the UK wrestling scene. Has wrestled for some big companies in the scene like Riptide Wrestling, Battle Pro Wrestling , and the aforementioned Schadenfreude & Friends.
Angel Hayze
A talent that has been making her name in Scotland and is the prize student of Fierce Females. She has notably had a big feud with mentor Sammii Jayne in Discovery Wrestling and has had the biggest year of her career in 2019 making her debut in EVE, Insane Championship Wrestling and TNT Extreme Wrestling.
Kasey
One of the mainstays of the UK womens scene Kasey Owens rounds out the block. She is a three-time ICW women’s champion, former Queen Of Southside champion and the current TNT Women’s champion. A nine-year veteran she has wrestled for IMPACT! Wrestling, WWE and World Of Sport as well as various indies.
She-1 2019 Block B
Gisele Shaw
Shaw has made a real name for herself in 2019. Originally cutting her teeth in Canada after training at the Storm Wrestling Academy she has spent 2019 wowing audiences in the UK and becoming a popular figure in places like Wrestle Gate Pro and Over The Top Wrestling. Whether wowing fans with her high flying or showing off with her hard chops Shaw is one of the best wrestlers in the UK right now and is in an absolutely stacked B block that could blow the roof off the ResGal.
Laura Di Matteo
One of the most underrated wrestlers in the UK scene right now Laura Di Matteo gets a chance to shine here in a loaded She-1 block. The interim GWF Women’s champion has had some fantastic showings in EVE this year, namely her match with Jordynne Grace and Arisa Hoshiki, and will be looking to use this tournament to prove she’s one of the best in EVE.
Nicole Savoy
From the US the ace of SHIMMER Nicole Savoy comes to EVE for her debut. An eight-year veteran Savoy has wrestled for all the major women’s promotions in the US and in particular dominates in SHIMMER where she is a former Heart of SHIMMER Champion and former SHIMMER champion. She made her AEW debut this year and is now looking to make a big impact in her EVE debut.
Millie McKenzie
Part of the Medusa Complex Millie McKenzie has really fulfilled her potential this year. She has been a mainstay in multiple major UK promotions ever since her debut and was considered a future star from day one. In 2019 she has spent a lot of time in Japan with Sendai Girls which has seen her improve and even win the Sendai Girls tag team titles. She rounds out a stacked B block and will be looking to get one over on EVE by winning their biggest tournament of the year.
She-1 2019 Block C
Mei Suruga
Representing Gatoh Move we have one of the best wrestlers in the world Mei Suruga. Suruga uses her insane athleticism to pull off moves at a high speed and can deliver some of the sickest dropkicks in the business. Whether the tiny mats of Ichigoya Chocolate Square or the regular ring of Shinkiba 1st Ring Suruga impresses everywhere she goes. Look for her to pull out something fun with the ResGal wall

Jetta
The woman of many nicknames Jetta became one-half of the inaugural EVE tag team champions earlier this year at WrestleQueendom. It’s already been a big year for the British wrestling veteran and it is her aim to get her first ever she-1 win. Once a hated heel she is now a crowd favourite and will have the full support of the ResGal crowd for this one.
Rhia O’Reilly
A nine veteran and only the second three-time EVE Champion Rhia O’Reilly is one of the toughest wrestlers there is. She shocked the world at the end of WrestleQueendom 2 when she used her matchmaking powers to become the EVE champion and joined forces with Livvii Grace and Nightshade. May still be knocking off ring rust from her injury but a formidable opponent.
Jazz
A twenty-one-year veteran, former ECW and WWE competitor, former WWE women’s champion and former NWA Women’s champion Jazz has done it all in the business and twenty-one years in is still as badass as ever. She was the final wildcard entry into the she-1 and will have everyone in Block C fearing for their lives.
