Card Subject To Change: The Fiend vs. The Undertaker At WrestleMania?

This is an ongoing new feature where our own “Hot Sauce Willie” starts to unveil the secrets in the shadows that he receives from his WWE sources. A lot of his internal reports have come true. A few don’t. But like they say, “Card subject to change.” This week we look at the possibility of The Undertaker taking on Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania

You may recall at SummerSlam Corey Graves being fed this line after Bray Wyatts match versus Finn Balor where Graves said “I don’t know if this an appropriate comparison to make, but you think about the Undertaker and his ability to intimidate…Bray Wyatt could be in the same vein if not more so.” For anyone who follows WWE, you should know that things like this aren’t announced without reason. So you have to ask yourself “Was this line fed to Corey Graves on purpose?”.

While plans are always subject to change, WWE still plans on making Bray Wyatt a face of the company. It goes without question that the Fiend would have eventually become Universal Champion as we have seen him face off against Seth Rollins at Hell In A Cell and as we saw at Crown Jewel, The Fiend had Rollins’ number. But does being the titleholder mean that it is the pinnacle for the new Bray Wyatt character? or would an Undertaker retirement match be what could elevate the Fiend to that stratosphere of that elite class of WWE performers who have come through the doors? Could The Fiend be in that class of an Austin, a Hogan, The Rock, Cena, and others after taking the torch that The Undertaker would have passed? For this to happen, expect a match like this to take place at WWE’s biggest event of the year. The event that is synonymous with The Undertaker, WrestleMania. But could a match like this happen as soon as WrestleMania 36 though? or could this happen at a later WrestleMania?

The Undertaker has more than earned calling his shots in terms of his schedule with WWE and could still be looking into having first-time programs with several superstars. Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Daniel Bryan could be some of those names, and what about Sting? Could a match between these two titans of the industry still happen? Sting still talks about having a match with the Undertaker till this very day. Could it still be possible?

At the moment, there could be a concern about the character of The Fiend, and that has to do with the reactions Bray receives from the fans. The character is no doubt a heel, however reaction The Fiend received at SummerSlam and Hell In A Cell is not the intended response WWE would be looking for. So what better way to get The Fiend to receive the right reaction than to get into a program with the Undertaker? One thing is for certain, it’s only a matter of time before we see this match happen.
