Chilean Wrestler Jessy Makes Raw Debut as Carolina

In his feud against Andrade, Sin Cara decided to bring out an insurance policy to handle Andrade’s business manager, Zelina Vega. On Monday night, he was joined by a masked luchadora named Carolina. While the move failed to earn Sin Cara the win, it did introduce another international superstar to the WWE roster.

A 5-year pro from the Chilean indie scene in South America, Carolina has been competing as Jessy in her native Chile, primarily with her hometown promotion Revolucion Lucha Libre (RLL) in Santiago de Chile, where she’s a former 2x RLL Women’s Champion. She switched to 5 Luchas in early 2019 and in August, she signed with NXT and reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

She’s only had three matches so far with NXT on the Live Event circuit, mostly in a program with another recent signee, Santana Garrett, making her debut on October 10. She worked the NXT Live Events under her real name, Catalina Garcia, but it appears she has now been given a mask and has been rechristened as Carolina. No word yet on whether she’ll remain on Raw as an associate of Sin Cara or if this was a one-time thing and she’ll return to NXT.
