Drew Gulak is scheduled to defend his championship next week on NXT TV against Lio Rush. What some eagle-eyed viewers noted was the new name for his championship. The NXT Cruiserweight Championship is now the official name for the marquee championship of the 205 Live brand.

With NXT UK stars like Imperium and Pete Dunne having an increasing presence on NXT TV it appeared as if all the brands under the Triple H umbrella were merging to help NXT fill two hours of live television a week.
While Triple H himself did confirm that 205 Live would operate under the NXT Umbrella, now on Fridays, many fans were unsure of the future of the Cruiserweight championship. Now these questions have been answered with the official rebranding of the championship to the NXT Cruiserweight championship.
