WWE Confirms 205 Live Move to Friday Nights

205 Live

While Triple H recently made comments that 205 Live would be working under the NXT umbrella going forward, it appears that for the time being, 205 Live will remain filming live after SmackDown, as WWE announced on Monday that 205 Live will be moving to Friday nights at 10pm. It will remain on the WWE Network.

What will be interesting to see is who will be in the commentary booth for this week’s 205 Live as part of Premiere Week. Lead announcer Vic Joseph and newly appointed color commentator Dio Madden were both moved to Raw beginning with Monday’s season premiere, leaving Aiden English as the only commentator left on 205 Live. With Michael Cole and Corey Graves shifting over to become the new two man booth on SmackDown starting this week, it leaves former SmackDown announcers Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton without broadcast homes.

As well, there will now be a hole with NXT UK as well, as Vic Joseph was also lead commentator on the UK brand, alongside Nigel McGuinness. While Joseph may remain the voice for the remainder of the tapings yet to air, it’s unsure if Joseph will remain the voice of NXT UK once those tapings have aired.
