#AndNEW: Scotty Davis wins NLW Championship

Scotty Davis

Scotty Davis has been having a whirlwind 2019.  The young Irish star has had some of the biggest matches of his career getting victories over names like Darby Allin and Jyushin Thunder Liger.  He has now added the OTT NLW Championship to his trophy cabinet.

Originally Curtis Murray was scheduled to defend his title against Calum Black and Chris Ridgeway but due to Ophidian and Solo Darling having travel issues Ridgeway was added to another match and was replace by Davis.  Murray would be the first man eliminated promising a new champion, which would be Scotty Davis.  Post match it would seem that former GN Champion LJ Cleary made it clear that he wanted the title.

Davis has really broken out in the past few weeks after winning the Natural Progression Series in PROGRESS before cashing in his title opportunity the very next day at PROGRESS: Chapter 95 Still Chasing to win the PROGRESS tag team championships alongside Jordan Devlin.

Davis famously finished as the runner up for the NLW championship tournament when he lost to Terry Thatcher in a heated final between the prodigy and the veteran, he has finally won his first championship in OTT with this NLW Championship win.
