Preview: DEFY Wrestling – Doomsayer (9/27/19)

On Friday, September 27th, DEFY Wrestling comes back to Washington Hall for their latest event, Doomsayer. It is the first event that new DEFY Wrestling champion Schaff will put his championship on the line but is also a night where this is goodbye. For Darby Allin this evening is his final match in DEFY creating a night that is likely to be filled with incredible action, fan appreciation and likely one of pride as Allin moves onto the next professional journey in his wrestling career. Here is our preview of DEFY Wrestling’s Doomsayer.

K.O. Crazy (Super Crazy & Guillermo Rosas) vs. Amerikan Gunz (Ethan HD & Mike Santiago)

This matchup pits a former DEFY Wrestling tag team championship duo against a returning fan favorite and ECW alumni in Super Crazy with Rosas. Much like the insane luchador, it appears as though Rosas is along the same lines with how he competes. Often throwing caution to the wind, Rosas is just as much a risk-taker as the veteran Super Crazy. For HD and Santiago, the DEFYance faithful know exactly what they are getting. They are hungry and want to get their hands on those tag team titles its just a matter of time before they get that opportunity once again.

Killer Kross vs Douglas James

An exciting match for sure as Kross continues on his post-IMPACT Wrestling tour of action. He steps into the ring with one of the newest MLW signees in Douglas James.  Fans are often drawn to James with his skillset. His combination of tremendous athleticism and willingness to grow is evident with each match he takes part in. As for Kross, he will put in the effort that could turn heads for the DEFY management. Kross could use this matchup as a means to be considered a contender the DEFY championship later on down the road. As for now James and Kross are likely to present a match that is likely to steal the show.

Bestia 666 vs Rey Horus

When these two luchadors step into the ring fans that aren’t familiar with them are likely to be. As both have made a name for themselves south of the border it is their time in DEFY that could stand to be the one where fans are able to take notice. For Bestia 666 he makes his DEFY Wrestling premiere while Horus has competed for DEFY on a few separate occasions. In both instances, both men have competed for Major League Wrestling but this time they bring their talents to the Pacific Northwest to showcase their skills in front of the DEFYanyce audience. These two are sure to capture everyone’s attention with high-flying skills.

Cody Chhun vs. Darby Allin

One of the most prominent names to compete in DEFY has been none other than Darby Allin. Allin has gained notoriety for his edgy means of competition including his death drop fall. In fact meme’s of his fall unprotected back first in AEW against Cody can still be seen today. While Chhun continues to impress being a regular on the DEFY roster. A graduate of the Buddy Wayne Academy, Chunn brings his familiar style back to a DEFY ring. Chhun and Allin are no strangers to one another either. This match, however, is Allin’s swansong in DEFY as he says goodbye as he joins All Elite Wrestling shortly. Will Allin leave on top or will he take it on the chin from Chunn?

DEFY Championship Match – Schaff (C) vs. Joey Janela

The main event of the event pits the baddest motherf***er in professional wrestling today and the new DEFY Wrestling champion Schaff against the Bad Boy himself Joey Janela. Much like Allin who is competing for the final time for DEFY, Janela is likely to be following suit as well. This match, however, does showcase a changing of the guard in DEFY as the new champion puts his title on the line against a man that is as likely to subject himself to as much pain and suffering as he is willing to administer as well. For Schaff he has yet to have a fight he didn’t enjoy and the former military man is sure to prove that he will put his title up against any and all comers. Will Schaff retain his championship at DEFY Wrestling’s Doomsayer?
