At the most recent Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) event, New Horizons, records were broken as new MCW Tag Team Champions were crowned. A highly competitive feud between the reigning champions The Natural Classics (Tome & Stevie Filip) and The Brat Pack (Nick Bury & Mitch Waterman) was rekindled for this matchup. The rivalry between these two may not be long-running, but it certainly has become very heated.
Since losing the championship back in June, The Brat Pack have been missing from MCW. During their absence, The Brat Pack had to sit back and watch The Natural Classics successful defend the titles against The Velocities (Jude London & Paris De Silva) from Sydney (The Velocities just recently captured the PWA Black Label Tag Team gold).
Obviously, their time away though helped The Brat Pack as they were able to return rejuvenated and motivated. After a hard-fought battle, which saw Nick Bury suffer a gruesome injury which subsequently required eleven stitches and two of his teeth to be replaced, The Brat Pack were able to reclaim the gold.
With this victory, The Brat Pack become the first-ever four-time MCW Tag Team Champions.
