AAA Lucha Libre returns this Saturday night for Conquista Total Gira 2019 as the promotion comes to us on twitch.tv from the Miguel Hidalgo Gymnasium in Puebla Pue, MX. The major story going into this show is the debut of LAX, Santana, and Ortiz who just made their debut at this past weekends AEW “All Out”. Blue Demon, who is set to face Dr. Wagner Jr. in Madison Square Garden is in action. Here’s more.
Psycho Clown, Drago & Taya vs. Blue Demon Jr., Ayako Hamada & Rey Escorpion
In the main event of the show, Blue Demon Jr. leads the team of Ayako Hamada and his acquaintance, Rey Escorpion. Leading into Triplemania, Rey along with the other members of Los Mercernarios had been helping Blue Demon against Dr. Wagner Jr. and anyone else he had been teaming with, such as Psycho Clown. Speaking of Psycho Clown, he teams with Taya and Drago. Taya and Ayako Hamada are no strangers to each other as the two traded wins against each other for the Reina De Reinas title back in 2017. Will we see a rivalry sparked again between the luchadoras? How will Drago play a role in this match, and will Dr. Wagner Jr., who is not booked on this show, make an appearance and go face to face with Blue Demon Jr. before their big match on September 15th at the Hulu Theater in New York City?
Laredo Kid & El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. LAX (Santana & Ortiz) vs. Daga & Arez
In another featured bout, a 3-way tag match involving the debuting LAX takes place as they take on the team of Laredo Kid & Vikingo along with the team of Daga & Arez. The key here is that except for LAX, the other two teams aren’t regular tag teams. Laredo Kid and Vikingo had an incredible singles match earlier this year for Laredo Kids AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. Laredo Kid successfully defended the title and the two competitors embraced one another, but, how will the two tecnicos co-exist with one another?
Arez and Daga have only faced against each other once which was over two years ago, and now the two have to team with each other. Daga has a mission to capture every title in AAA Lucha Libre, so a tag title shot could be something enticing to him. Could Daga be able to work well with Arez and get the victory in this match and look to get a future tag title match down the line? Or will Daga look out for himself to focus on singles gold?
LAX come into a new environment but come rightfully equipped with success and experience as a tag team on their side. With all things considered, LAX should be able to come out the winners of this match. Will their experience and winning ways take them to victory this Sunday night? or will they come up short in their first match with AAA Lucha Libre?
Other matches taking place this Sunday consist of:
Murder Clown, Nino Hamburguesa & Aerostar vs. Texano Jr., Averno & Chessman
Big Mami, Ladi Shani & a surprise tag team partner vs. La Hiedra, Villano III Jr. & a surprise tag team partner
Dinastia, Eclipse and a tag team partner vs. Tito Santana, Mocho Cota Jr. & Carta Brava Jr.
Aramis, Draztick Boy & L.A. Parkita vs. Chika Tormenta, La Tigo & Lowrider
AAA Lucha Libre airs this Sunday at 7:00 pm EST on twitch.tv
