Just days after revealing Carmel Jacob as the new Commissioner, Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) owner Mark Dallas has dropped another huge announcement as he’s unveiled the plans for a new show under the ICW banner – GONZO.

What Is ICW GONZO?
Speaking in a video released on social media, Dallas claimed that the reasons for this new show being introduced was to ensure there was always new content being added to ICW On Demand. Due to the sometimes lengthy times between Fight Club episodes being taped, it meant there wasn’t always at least one new ICW show uploaded each week. That looks set to change with this new GONZO concept.
What makes GONZO different to other ICW shows is that these shows will focus on the rising stars within ICW. In recent times, there has been an abundance of fresh faces debuting on the ICW roster, from Craig Anthony to Angel Hayze to More Than Hype (LJ Cleary, Darren Kearney, and Nathan Martin). GONZO will allow these names to flourish, while also bringing some already established names to add to the mix.
Not only will GONZO focus on the up and coming talent, but it will also put more of a focus on ICW’s Zero-G division. For years, the Zero-G division has been a staple of ICW’s events, producing some of the best action you’ll ever see. Considering some of the names who have been part of the division – Kenny Williams, Andy Wild, Noam Dar, Wolfgang, Ricochet, etc. – it’s no secret to see why the division is as good as it is.
The first GONZO show is set to take place on Saturday, October 12th from The Asylum in Glasgow. At the time of writing, three matches have currently been scheduled for the show, as Kieran Kelly will take on the returning Jordan Devlin, Kenny Williams will face off against the debuting Irish sensation Scotty Davis, and Liam Thomson will defend his Zero-G Championship in the main event against Leyton Buzzard.
