Shine Wrestling returns to Livonia, MI for Shine 60! This show was originally set for July but was rescheduled for August 24th. It is part of a double-shot with EVOLVE volume 133. All of the Shine gold is on the line, with Rainbow Bright, Shotzi Blackheart, and Allysin Kay defending their titles. Leah Vaughan, Jayme Jameson, and Double D Rose return to Shine as well.
Leah Vaughan vs. Lindsay Snow
Speaking of Leah Vaughan, she’ll be taking on Lindsay Snow. Vaughan, also known as Leah Von Dutch, last appeared for Shine back in 2017. She participated in the tournament to crown the first Shine Nova Champion and advanced to the second round. Leah lost to the eventual winner, Priscilla Kelly. The Canadian star is not intimidated by her opponent in Lindsay Snow. This is their first time meeting and it goes down at Shine 60. Snow is not scared of LV either, she is after all the American Kaiju. These two beauties will go to war and only one can walk away with the win.
Double D Rose vs. Holidead
Holidead will be back at Shine and in singles action! Her opponent is one she knows in Double D Rose, formally known as Dementia D’Rose of the Cutie Pie Club. They’ve faced off in tag team bouts in Shine, and once before in Georgia Premier Wrestling. Rose was victorious in that match. Holidead hasn’t been resting on her laurels, staying active in singles and tag team competition. She is one half of the Twisted Sisterz with Thunder Rosa. Double D Rose has also been busy, reminding everyone what the WOAD is capable of. Will the Weapon of Ass Destruction lower the boom and leave Holidead laying once again? Or will Holidead’s unpredictable nature serve to her advantage?
Team AAA (Aja Perera & Aerial Monroe, with Ayla Fox) vs. BTY (Marti Belle & Jayme Jameson)
Under the watchful eye of Ayla Fox, Aja Perera and Aerial Monroe are looking for one thing, and that’s the Shine Tag Team Championships. While they may dispute the name of their opponents (Better Than You), you can’t dispute BTY’s past success. They are former Shine Tag Team champions and now they’re back. Marti Belle we just saw at Shine 59, where she was victorious over Madi Maxx. Jayme we last saw at Shine 50 in April of 2018. BTY were prolific Shine Tag Team Champions, holding the titles for over a year. And after losing them, they never got a rematch. So they will look to take down Team AAA and catapult themselves back into the championship picture.
Shine Nova Championship Match
Shotzi Blackheart (c) vs. Natalia Markova w/Brandi Lauren
The Ballsy Badass is the Shine Nova Champion and she’s out for blood. At the EVOLVE 10th Anniversary special on the WWE Network, she was attacked by Natalia Markova. Natalia kicked Shotzi in the face, bloodied her nose and left her with a black eye. And all at the behest of Brandi Lauren. Brandi and Shotzi have been at odds for a while now, and now Brandi has found help in the form of Markova. Shotzi is putting the Shine Championship on the line to teach Natalia Markova a lesson. Markova will have Brandi in her corner, but will Shotzi have a backup too? There’s only one way to find out and that’s tune into Shine 60.
Shine Tag Team Championship Match
Rainbow Bright (Gabby Gilbert & Luscious Latasha) (c) vs. Team Sea Stars (Ashley Vox & Delmi Exo)
Rainbow Bright is seemingly confused as to why Team Sea Stars are now getting a shot at the Shine Tag Team Championships, but it is happening in Livonia. At Shine 59, Delmi Exo and Ashley Vox defeated the team of Double D Rose and Gabby Gilbert in their debut. Next on their agenda is the Shine Tag Titles. There’s also the threat of Rainbow Bright’s bestie, Santana Garrett lurking around. Although that didn’t exactly work in Gabby’s favor at Shine 59. Could we see new tag team champions, or will Rainbow Bright be able to right the ship?
Shine Championship Triple Threat Match
Allysin Kay (c) vs. Mercedes Martinez vs. Ivelisse
Allysin Kay will defend her Shine Championship against two former competitors that she’s turned back the challenge of before. Mercedes Martinez and Ivelisse are former tag team partners. The quest for the Shine Championship is what tore them apart. With triple threat rules, Allysin doesn’t even have to be involved to lose the title. However, if Mercedes and Ivelisse get carried away with their war, the AK47 can take advantage.
There’s only one way to know what happens with these incredible women’s matches, and that’s to find a way to tune in for Shine 60. If you can’t make it out in person, it will be available streaming and on-demand on WWN Live or Club WWN.
