Indiana’s Black Label Pro has risen to become one of the top indies in the US, with a strong showcase of the best in Midwest talent, both emerging and veteran, with a solid representation of national and international stars coming through. They continue a strong 2019 with McWrestling, happening live this Saturday on IndependentWrestling.tv (IWTV). It’s an early afternoon show, 4:30pm CDT/5:30pm EST.
Harlow O’Hara vs. Jody Threat
Two women making their BLP debut on Saturday night, both of whom are blowing up in 2019 as future stars to watch out for. Harlow O’Hara debuted in 2017 and quickly became a force on the indie scene, a goth priestess with a penchant for causing havoc. A presence in the New York scene, she was the Battle Club Pro Champion for 256-days. Jody Threat is a rising star from the Canadian indie scene who is also fairly new to the industry, but she’s branching out big time this year, already making her debut in the UK scene with PROGRESS and Fight Club PRO. Now she’s turning her attention to the US indies, and this fiery scrapper has all the tools to be a name to watch in the coming months.
Danhausen’s McScramble With Teeth
Danhausen is an enigmatic personality that has only gotten more bizarre in the past year. The Detroit indie star worked his way through the Texas indies back into the Midwest, where he’s been working with Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) in Ohio as part of The Production, but on his own, he’s been getting more twisted by the day. We’re not entirely sure what a “McScramble with Teeth” is, but it’s sure to be interesting.

Flip Flop & Fly Ball (Cabana Man Dan & Boomer Hatfield) vs. Bear Country (Bear Bronson & Bear Beefcake)
Cabana Man Dan is an 18-year indie veteran from Alabama who is finding a resurgence in the US indies of late, and he’s taken a soft spot for smaller wrestlers. Of late in BLP, he’s found a new partner in CHIKARA‘s Boomer Hatfield, and together the two are fighting for contention in the BLP tag team division. On Saturday, they’re facing one of the hottest new tag teams in the US in Bear Country, who became superstars as part of Beyond Wrestling‘s Uncharted Territory in the first season. Two big dudes versus some smaller grapplers, this is a tale of Davids vs Goliaths.
Alex Zayne vs. Gary Jay
Alex Zayne continues his meteoric rise on the US indies following his viral performance with Game Changer Wrestling on the 4th of July. He’s making debuts monthly and continues to show audiences around the US why he’s one of 2019’s breakout stars. But on Saturday, his BLP debut will not be an easy one, as he faces the “RoboGinger” Gary Jay. Jay is one of the toughest veterans in the Midwest and has been through some hellacious feuds in the Midwest and South the past two years.
Larry D vs Dan Maff
Two hard-hitting indie veterans collide in a battle of the big boys! Kentucky’s Larry D has been fighting for 17 years now, in his home state with Northern Wrestling Federation (NWF) as well as IWA Mid South, where he’s a 2x IWA Mid South Heavyweight Champion. His opponent is a 20-year veteran who has beaten and bloodied opponents in Ring of Honor, Beyond Wrestling, WrestlePro, GCW, and just about every other Eastern indie, in Dan Maff. These two hosses are sure to make this one a physical affair.
Project M.O.N.I.X. vs. Aeroboy
Project M.O.N.I.X. – aka rising Midwest star Pat Monix – is on the cusp of a major breakout, as he’s been one of IWA Mid South’s top young stars for the past couple of years. The former IWA Mid South Junior Heavyweight Champion is taking his game all over these days, and is building a fanbase that’s as rabid as his in-ring abilities. His opponent is a 16-year veteran of Mexico’s lucha libre, despite only being 29 years old. Aeroboy is a veteran of Mexico’s extreme promotion, Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU), where he’s a former 3x DTU Extreme Champion, who also works The Crash Lucha and multiple other Mexican indie promotions.
BLP Tag Team Championship: Blood Diamond (Jake Lander & Tre LeMar) (c) vs. The Stunt Doubles (Marko & Logan Stunt)
Huge tag team action as the BLP Tag Team Champions Blood Diamond, featuring two of Midwest’s most exciting young stars Jake Lander and Tre LeMar, get set for their third title defense in 125 days. On Saturday, they’re defending the gold against recent All Elite Wrestling signee Marko Stunt, who is pairing with his younger brother Logan Stunt, in what should be a thrilling athletic contest.
BLP Midwest Wrestling Championship: AJ Gray (c) vs. Craig Mitchell
AJ Gray may be from the South, but he’s been tearing up the Midwest the past year, and especially in Indiana. Not only is he the reigning BLP Midwest Champion, but he’s also over 300 days into his reign as the Paradigm Pro Wrestling (PPW) Champion in Jefferson. But he’s also become a force in AIW, Glory Pro, and GCW and continues to impress as one of the new faces to watch in the territory. He’s heading to his second title defense this Saturday and he’s facing a fierce rival in Craig Mitchell, a veteran from the Chicago area. Mitchell is a regular with Freelance Wrestling, where he’s a former Freelance Underground Champion and Freelance Tag Team Champion, and he’s looking to add more Midwest gold around his waist.
Rey Horus vs. Black Taurus
Two of Mexico’s top luchadores square off on Saturday night. Rey Horus has transitioned to the US indies with great adept since he first appeared on Lucha Underground in 2015 as Dragon Azteca Jr. Since then, he’s worked various US indies, including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), AAW and DEFY, not to mention being a regular with Major League Wrestling (MLW). In his home country, he’s the reigning Crash Lucha Champion. His opponent is one of AAA’s biggest stars, the monstrous Black Taurus. A 14-year veteran, he first gained notice with CMLL in 2008 as Semental, before heading to AAA as Machine Rocker. In 2015, he became the bovine beast everyone has fallen in love with, and he’s starting to make his way into the US indies, including as part of this year’s PWG Battle of Los Angeles.
BLP Championship: Kobe Durst (c) vs. “Warhorse” Jake Parnell
Canadian indie star Kobe Durst has had a stranglehold on BLP’s main event ever since he defeated his mentor Ethan Page for the BLP Championship back in April. Since then, he’s fought off challenges from Jordynne Grace and Page himself to retain the gold, and now he’s facing a man moving up from the mid-card to stake his own claims for the main event. “Warhorse” Jake Parnell held the BLP Midwest Championship (then the Indiana State title) for 175-days until recently and has gotten a taste for championship gold. The reigning ZERO1 USA World Junior Heavyweight Champion has a tough battle in front of him, especially considering that Durst has aligned himself with an entourage that features the BLP Tag Team Champions, Blood Diamond.
