LAX Headed To AAA Lucha Libre On September 8th!

LAX

At the conclusion of AAA’s show last night, the commentary team stated they would be back on Twitch.tv on September 8th, 2019. According to the promotions poster and match card for the show, LAX is scheduled to be at the show in a 3-way tag match against the teams of Laredo Kid and El Hijo Del Vikingo and the team of Daga and Arez.

What’s interesting about this is that LAX, a very decorated tag team who have dominated everywhere they go have been the subject of conversations as of late regarding their contract status with IMPACT Wrestling. Ortiz was very recently involved in an angle against IMPACT Wrestling Champions “The North” this past week on IMPACT Wrestling while teaming up with Daga. Santana was absent from the most recent tapings due to being injured at the hands of the North.

There have been many rumors regarding LAX possibly joining AEW and being a part of the promotions first show on TNT. With the business partnership between AAA and AEW, and LAX getting involved in the card for AAA’s next show, is it possible that the two stars from New York City will be debuting with the promotion come October 2nd? Or are they still a part of IMPACT Wrestling and could this set of T.V. tapings have been the teams last?

The last time both members of LAX were seen was at IMPACT Wrestlings Slammiversary. Of course, we would come to find out that The North would brutally attack Santana during the match and ultimately take him out of the match, virtually losing all hope that LAX would possibly regain the IMPACT Wrestling tag team titles. Since then, only Ortiz made his appearance to get revenge on the North and had help from Daga thanks to Konnan for the assist. The two would wind up losing to The North and since then, LAX was not involved at the company’s most recent set of tapings back on August 4th.

Whatever the future holds for the tag team, one thing is for sure. The two will continue their dominant ways as they have for the last several years at IMPACT Wrestling and other promotions.
