During the huge Southern Pro Wrestling (SPW) Southern Rumble main event a new SPW New Zealand Champion was crowned as Slex became a double champion.
In a champion versus champion encounter where both titles were on the line the current Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) World Heavyweight Champion Slex added to his collection of championship gold by also capturing the Southern Pro Wrestling title from Marcus Kool.

With this victory Slex once again becomes a dual champion, having recently held both the Melbourne Championship Wrestling Intercommonwealth and MCW World Heavyweight Championships simultaneously.
It continues a hot run for Slex, who was also featured in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Southern Showdown.
