On July 28, 2019, at the Foxwoods Resorts Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Beyond Wrestling is holding its biggest show of the year – and one of the top indie shows of the year – in the 2019 edition of Americanrana. Just prior to tonight’s episode of Uncharted Territory, the main event was revealed to be one of the biggest bubbling stories of the year involving two comedic wrestling legends.

For the past few years, Robert Evans – formerly known as RD Evans in Ring of Honor and Archibald Peck in CHIKARA – has been working as a member of WWE Creative, until his explosive exit following the WWE Hall of Fame this year. But since his release, he has re-emerged as a new version of himself, “Quitman” RD Evans. It has been his mission to prove his worth again on the indies by facing Orange Cassidy, the current reigning 2x Independent Wrestling Champion.

Oddly enough, despite passing through CHIKARA and other indies together, they have never faced off in singles competition. But with RD Evans preparing for a return to the indie scene he left in 2015, and Orange Cassidy having a breakout year, emerging as a star with everyone from Beyond to Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), now is the perfect time for these two to collide.
Okay, full disclosure. The main event is probably not going to be this. Well, it could be, in the way that the WWE announces “not-last-matches” as main events for some WrestleManias. But we here at LWOPW are huge fans of Cassidy and Evans and this will be our Main Event (okay, even fuller disclosure, it’s my main event – author). Most likely the actual main event will be the match announced at the end of Wednesday’s Uncharted Territory, a 60-man Iron Man between Beyond rivals Joey Janela and David Starr.
BREAKING@TheProductDS will wrestle @JANELABABY in a 60-Minute Iron Man Match at @beyondwrestling's Americanrana 19!
