Bad Company Win ICW King Of Hawners Tournament

This past Sunday and Monday, Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) headed to the Garage in Glasgow for their inaugural King of Hawners Tournament. With eight teams set to enter a single-elimination tournament, history was made as one of the fan favourite teams ended up coming out victorious in night two’s main event.

After defeating The Dallas Mavericks (Joe Hendry, Kez Evans, and Ravie Davie) in the quarterfinals with help from former Mavericks member Leyton Buzzard and then The Anti-Fun Police (Chief Deputy Dunne, Los Federales Santos Jr., and HT Drake) in the quarterfinals, the Bad Company trio of BT Gunn, Stevie James, and Krobar were able to defeat The Wild Boys (Andy Wild, Kieran Kelly, and Aaron Echo) in the finals to win the whole tournament. Wild, Kelly, and Echo had defeated the three masked members of The Power Forward as well as The Kings of the North (Adam Maxted, Damien Corvin, and Bonesaw) to take their place in the finals.

With this win, Bad Company not only won the beautiful King of Hawners trophies, but they also received one championship opportunity between them. That means that either one of them can challenge for either of ICW’s two male singles championships or a combination of them can go after the Tag Team Championships. Gunn has previously held all three championships he can within the company, even holding both the World Heavyweight and Zero-G Championships at one stage to become ICW’s first ever Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. On the other hand, Krobar and James have never lifted gold during their ICW tenure thus far.

That could all change with this King of Hawners victory. At the time of writing, it’s only the Tag Team Championships that don’t have any teams lined up to challenge The Kings of Catch (Aspen Faith and Lewis Girvan). The fourth Bad Company member Wolfgang has stepped up to challenge Lionheart for the World Heavyweight Championship, whereas Liam Thomson has done the same to Joe Coffey and the Zero-G Championship. Aspen and Lewis are without challengers following their successful defence over The Fite Network (Lou King Sharp and Krieger).

Perhaps The Purge are the team to fix that problem for the duo.
