Medusa Complex (Millie McKenzie & Charli Evans) captured the Sendai Girls tag team championships earlier today defeating Beauty Bear (Chihiro Hashimoto & Mika Iwata) ending the duo’s reign at 254 days
This is McKenzie’s second title win in Sendai Girls as she previously held the Sendai Girls Junior Championship in early 2019. Both women are currently touring with Sendai Girls but usually ply their trade on the UK indie scene where McKenzie is a rising star despite her young age. Evans moved to the UK alongside Ausse Open and while she hasn’t had the success they have, considering they have won almost every major tag title in the UK scene, but has still become a fan favorite everywhere she’s gone and wrestled for the majority of the UK’s top companies. What started in Pro Wrestling: EVE has now made it’s way to Japan and claimed gold as Evans and McKenzie continue to represent the UK women’s scene.
Medusa Complex accomplished what many have not by getting a victory over Chihiro Hashimoto, Hashimoto is currently in the midst of her fourth reign as Sendai Girls Champion and has had the title for 337 days and counting. With Sendai Girls running a show in the UK in July it’s likely that we see the rematch between these two teams on the Medusa Complex’s home turf.
