Vignettes had been popping up for months announcing that a new member was coming to join Bullet Club, and it was quite easy to recognize as Canadian indie star El Phantasmo, who has become a breakout star in the UK indie scene the past year. At night two of NJPW Wrestling Dontaku, El Phantasmo finally made his debut, teaming with fellow Bullet Club member Taiji Ishimori in tag team action against Will Ospreay & Dragon Lee.

El Phantasmo is a 14-year veteran of the Canadian indies, primarily with Vancouver’s Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW), where he’s a former 3x ECCW Champion. In 2017, he began to work heavily in the UK, with the likes of IPW:UK, ATTACK! Wrestling, Defiant Wrestling, Southside Wrestling Entertainment (SWE), Fight Club: PRO and more, including becoming a regular with Revolution Pro (RevPro), the UK affiliate of NJPW.
Last fall, he he defeated Ring of Honor’s Bandido and then New Japan legend Jushin Thunder Liger en route to capturing the RevPro British J Cup, defeating KUSHIDA, Rocky Romero, and Rich Swann in the finals.
