At Southern Honor Wrestling‘s Retaliation event on Friday night in Canton, Georgia, fans got more of an All Elite Wrestling (AEW) presence than expected. While Cody Rhodes (and his dog Pharoah) were advertised for an appearance, near the end of the show they got a whole lot more. It started when Chris Jericho made an appearance out of the crowd and cleared the ring of its competitors with a steel chair.

But that wasn’t all. After he laid out the wrestlers in the ring, his Double or Nothing opponent, Kenny Omega, rushed the ring to make the save.

While AEW members have crashed indie shows before, it’s usually been The Young Bucks and/or Cody Rhodes arriving unannounced. But it appears that now Jericho and Omega are hitting smaller indie shows to keep the buzz going for AEW’s first PPV at the end of this month on May 25, where the two will meet in the ring for the first time since their epic match at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 last year.
