After months of aiding World Champion Johnny Impact, Brian Cage felt the turn of Impact’s true colors when he attacked him earlier this year. Since then, Cage has been on a mission to not just take Impact’s World title but put him out for good. On Sunday night, Brian Cage finally finished the job, defeating Johnny Impact for the title, despite interference from Taya Valkyrie and former ref John E. Bravo. But the action didn’t end with the 1-2-3, as former Ring of Honor World Champion and New Japan star Michael Elgin made his IMPACT debut to take out the new Champion.

Brian Cage was taken to hospital following the contest though, after hurting his back earlier in the match from a Spanish Fly from Impact. Cage updated his fans on Monday that it was just inflammation and a bone bruise and that he wouldn’t miss any ring time.

For most of 2019, arguably the hottest tag team feud around the world has been between LAX (Santana & Ortiz) and The Lucha Brothers‘ Pentagon Jr. & Fenix. But the final battle saw LAX regain the World Tag Team titles they lost to the Brothers in Mexico in March, earning them their fourth reign as IMPACT World Tag Team Champions. Amidst reports that the Lucha Brothers were going to become exclusive to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) soon, the locker room came out to celebrate with the Lucha Brothers in what appeared to be a curtain call of sorts, although they have been announced for the Toronto TV tapings on Monday night.
Familia.
