Last night during NXT’s Live Event in Omaha during an NXT North American Championship Match between champion Velveteen Dream and Tyler Breeze, referee Tom Castor was on the receiving end of an errant superkick and fell awkwardly to the mat. In doing so he broke his leg/ankle and fell to the mat. A replacement ref was sent down for the angle and when the other ref got to the ring, he threw up the X for the fallen Castor. But the replacement ref was also knocked from the ring, but Castor still managed to finish the match and crawled over to count the 3 and make the finish!
NXT Ref Tom Castor Finishes Match With Broken Leg
Please say a prayer for my brother @tomcastorWWE. He broke his leg in the line of duty tonight during the main event of #NXTOmaha. When he was on the stretcher he squeezed my hand and proudly said "Drake I Love the Business". We love you Tom! ?

We wish Tom a speedy recovery from the injury and hope he’s back in the ring soon doing what he clearly loves so much.
