Just a few months after New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) revealed that Wrestle Kingdom 14 will be a two day event next January, Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) has done the same thing with their annual Fear & Loathing show. Fear & Loathing 12 will take place on Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd from the SWG3 venue in Glasgow.

Being the biggest event on the ICW calendar, Fear & Loathing has hosted some pretty huge names in recent years, including Rob Van Dam, Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, and WWE Hall of Famers Kurt Angle and Mick Foley. In addition, some of ICW’s biggest ever matches have taken place on the big stage. Joe Coffey vs Kurt Angle, Team Dallas vs The Black Label for full control of ICW, Ricochet vs Lewis Girvan, and Grado vs Drew Galloway (McIntyre) just to name a few have all been held at previous Fear & Loathing events.
ICW’s debut show on October 15th, 2006 was actually the first ever Fear & Loathing. Taking place at ICW’s old stomping grounds of the Maryhill Community Central Halls, that night would see Drew Galloway crowned the inaugural Heavyweight Champion after defeating Allan Grogan and Darkside in a three-way main event. Several of ICW’s current prominent stars also featured on the card, including Wolfgang, Liam Thomson, and current Square Go! contract holder RUDO Lightning.
Following a brief company hiatus, Fear & Loathing has now been held annually since 2009, with venues ranging from the aforementioned Maryhill venue to the Apollo 23 to the SECC to, most recently, the SSE Hydro. The night is always an important one for ICW and the people involved – it can make or break careers. With the 2019 installment now taking place over the weekend as opposed to the one singular night, who knows what will happen when the insanity once again descends upon Glasgow!
