It was an epic main event at the Wrestle Summit on Friday night, following a night where competitors from IMPACT Wrestling, Los Angeles’ PCW ULTRA, Seattle’s DEFY Wrestling, Iowa’s Wrestling Revolver, Australia’s Melbourne City Wrestling, and multiple Japanese and US freelancers battled it out over the course of the night. In the main event, PCW ULTRA Heavyweight Champion Shane Strickland put his title on the line against former Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes. It was a hard-hitting affair, as the stronger Muertes resisted most of Strickland’s attacks, although “Swerve” did get in some consider offense. But at the end of the match, the cloaked figure that had accompanied Muertes to the ring was unveiled to be Josef Samael of Warbeast (aka Major League Wrestling‘s CONTRA), and Muertes defeated Shane Strickland to take home the top prize in PCW ULTRA.

It capped off a big night for Warbeast, as with Mil Muertes now under their bidding they control the tag team and main event of PCW ULTRA. But for Warbeast themselves, Samael and “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu, they now control two tag team divisions. Earlier in the evening, the duo won a winner takes all match and also captured the DEFY Tag Team Championships to add to their PCW ULTRA Tag Team titles, beating DEFY champs One Percent and third challengers, Sent 2 Slaughter featuring Dan Maff & Shawn Donavan.
