Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that Goldust‘s WWE contract is up and he is currently in the 90-day no-compete clause window. According to the report, he would be free in May. Some eagle-eyed fans recently mentioned that Dust had removed all mentions of WWE from his social media and returned to Dustin Rhodes from Goldust.
Damn right! A got damn #NationalTreasure adored by millions! I should be in a glass case in the @smithsonian https://t.co/0CTpCD2adI

It’s an interesting time for Goldust to leave, as his brother Cody is spearheading All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and speculation is already rampant that the two brothers may reunite in AEW. And there was a hint dropped in the latest Road To Double or Nothing regarding the color Gold, which has obviously led to some fans speculating that we may see Goldust (or at least Dustin Rhodes) pop up at Double or Nothing.
Goldust has not wrestled for WWE at all since June of 2018 due to double knee surgery, but has always been a fan favorite ever since his debut during the attitude era. His memorable tag team runs with Booker T and his brother Cody are obvious highlights of his long tenure with the WWE.
Dustin Rhodes was the first of Dusty Rhodes‘ children to enter professional wrestling, debuting in WCW in 1988 as part of the Texas Broncos tag team with Kendall Windham (brother of Barry Windham). He left WCW in 1995 and headed to the WWF, where the character Goldust made his debut.
For the better part of 24 years, Dustin has been Goldust to millions of fans around the world, barring two brief stints with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, as himself, the unusual Se7en or the painted Black Reign. He leaves the WWE as a 3x Intercontinental Champion, 3x Tag Team Champion and 10x Hardcore Champion, as well as 2x WCW US Champion and 3x WCW Tag Team Champion. But he’ll always be remembered most as the Bizarre One himself, the director of Shattered Deams Productions, and some we will neeever forget the name of.
