After months of speculation, WWE has finally confirmed that the RAW Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania will be the main event. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey will make history on April 7th, 2019 when they close the show at the Grandest Stage Of Them All, WrestleMania
BREAKING: #WrestleMania 35 will feature the first-ever women's main event when @RondaRousey, @BeckyLynchWWE, and @MsCharlotteWWE battle for the #RAW #WomensChampionship! https://t.co/kZvtY1hUo3

When Ronda Rousey came to the WWE her intention was to do in WWE what she had already accomplished in the UFC, and that was to make the women credible main eventers. She is one of the biggest Female sports stars in the world and her role in this historic event cannot be underestimated. Charlotte Flair is a first ballot Hall Of Famer, already a 6-time Women’s Champion and one of the leader’s of the Women’s Evolution she was involved in the first ever women’s PPV main event when she tore the house down with Sasha Banks at Hell In A Cell in 2016.

The one that originally wasn’t meant to be here, “The Man” Becky Lynch, is the spark of this match. Towards the end of 2018, Lynch became the hottest act in the company as The Man became one of the coolest characters in WWE history, with many comparisons drawn to the legendary “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. After a long battle to get into this match the fans are fully behind the Underdog Becky Lynch as the fighting Irishwoman does battle with two of the biggest and most successful names in Sport’s Entertainment.
It’s been my…it’s been OUR goal to main event #WrestleMania. It was never just talk, it was the hard work of every woman past, present, and future to get us here. We won’t let you down. 13 days. #HERstory #Evolution 👸🏼

Thanks to the Women’s Evolution the WWE has come a long way from the days of 3-minute women’s matches, we have come a long way from the women being nothing more than eye candy, we have come a long way from the day’s when being women’s champion meant nothing and there was no guarantee you’d even make it on to PPV’s. April 7th will be a historic day as three women main event WrestleMania and prove that anything the men can do, they can do better.
The main event of #WrestleMania…
For all the dreams, the hopes, the struggles, the work.
Where they belong.
Where they deserve to be.
Congratulations. #EarnedNotGiven https://t.co/gd5nkevxn2— Triple H (@TripleH) March 25, 2019
