If you are a fan of dog posts, then you might have seen AJ Styles’ Tweet today.
This is the newest member of my family. Also, I’ve signed a new contract with the WWE. What a cute little guy. pic.twitter.com/PNqh9shgTH

In typical AJ Styles fashion, he quite hilariously hid an announcement of his re-signing with WWE in the Tweet – a Tweet introducing his new, family member. This puts to bed months of speculation that had hinted AJ was leaving the company in 2019. Speculation first began when AJ Styles dropped the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan on the 13th of November addition of SmackDown Live in 2018.
AJ has had an extraordinarily impressive, successful run since signing for WWE in 2016. A two-time WWE Champion – one of those reigns lasting more than a year – and a two-time United States Champion, it is clear that AJ is valued as one of the company’s top stars and – despite nearing 42 years of age – still has much more to offer.
Having debuted in the 2016 Royal Rumble, he quickly entered a feud with short-term tag team partner Chris Jericho. Towards the middle of the year, he began a memorable, entertaining heel run which saw him enter a dream feud with John Cena – paying homage to the days when AJ was the face of Impact, Cena the face of WWE. He also had a feud with Roman Reigns – bringing the best out of the Big Dog in a series of classic matches. Then came feuds with Dean Ambrose, Jinder Mahal, Shane McMahon, Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan and, now, Randy Orton who he will face at WrestleMania.
With signing a new contract, AJ will continue to prove that age is just a number and continue putting on solid matches for years to come.
