At Wednesday’s TV tapings for NXT at Full Sail University, Chelsea Green made her television debut after working the NXT Live Events since last October. She was facing Mae Young Classic competitor Jessie Elaban and following the match was seen visibly holding her wrist.

Following the taping, Chelsea Green confirmed an injury occurred and unfortunately, it’s a nasty one. According to Green herself, she broke her wrist mid-match and will be undergoing surgery on Thursday. Depending on the severity of the injury, recovery time can be as short as eight weeks, but more details will be known after her surgery on Thursday.

Since finally joining the WWE last fall, Chelsea Green has seen her play around with multiple character types, including the “Hot Mess” character she portrayed as Laurel Van Ness in IMPACT Wrestling, as well as a devilishly mischievous character in recent weeks. Sometimes, she was a mixture of both.

An unfortunate setback for one of the top indie free agents of last year, after she departed IMPACT Wrestling after winning the Knockouts Championship. She worked on the indies following her departure, including working All In last September prior to signing with the WWE.
