Former WWE, WCW and ECW legend Lance Storm has been busy since he retired in 2004. While he still does the odd match here and there, for the most part, he’s remained behind the scenes training stars like Taya Valkyrie, Tenille Dashwood (Emma), Chelsea Green, Peyton Royce, Tyler Breeze, Rachael Ellering, Brian Pillman Jr. and more with his Storm Wrestling Academy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. On Friday night, on his radio show Figure Four Daily with Bryan Alvarez, Storm revealed he was working with IMPACT Wrestling on a trial run basis as a backstage producer and agent. With the departure of Chris Parks (Abyss) and Sonjay Dutt earlier this year, IMPACT will be looking for replacements. His trial run would be during the March IMPACT tapings in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He said if it works out, he’d be open to joining for the TV tapings, as the limited schedule would allow him to continue his training in Calgary.
Lance Storm said the following (transcription by our own Brandi Wagner):
“I am going to be doing the agent/producer role for IMPACT Wrestling in the near future. The March 22nd and 23rd tapings in Windsor, Ontario, which I think are their next tapings. Which have to be their next tapings, only a couple weeks away now, jeez. But yeah, so, March 22nd and 23rd in conjunction with Border City Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling will be doing its TV tapings. I will be the latest and newest agent/producer. It is not a permanent position, it is a bit of a test to see if I like the job and if they like my ability to do the job.”
If he works out, it would continue to build a strong Canadian base within IMPACT that already sees Winnipeg’s Don Callis and Windsor, Ontario’s Scott D’Amore at the top as Executive Vice Presidents and Windsor’s Petey Williams working as a producer and agent. One could say that it’s a circle of life for Storm, as he’s finally a true IMPACT Player.
