Joe Hendry, a former Defiant World Heavyweight Champion and star with such companies as Scotland’s Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Defiant Wrestling and Canada’s Smash Wrestling, signed with IMPACT last summer, debuting at the TV tapings from Windsor, Ontario, Canada that June. He was paired with fellow Scot Grado and his “girlfriend”, Katarina. He had a lengthy feud with Eli Drake for the bulk of his IMPACT appearances, last appearing at the Mexico tapings from last fall, where he lost to Psycho Clown in a match that aired in October.

Hendry has announced plans to start his own YouTube show called The Joe Hendry Story, releasing a trailer for the new project. Hendry had previously teased retiring from professional wrestling and entering the world of MMA, following Gold Medal performances in amateur wrestling the past two years. Joe Hendry’s departure is the third star to leave IMPACT in recent months, following Austin Aries, Andrew Everett, DJ Z, and recent NXT signing Trevor Lee.
