On Saturday night at Major League Wrestling (MLW)‘s SuperFight in Philadelphia, the new Hart Foundation added more gold to their trophy case when the tandem of Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. defeated The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) to become the new MLW Tag Team Champions. They add the tag team titles to their stable, which also holds the MLW Middleweight Championship around Teddy Hart’s waist. It now gives the Hart Foundation two out of three MLW titles.

The match wasn’t without controversy. Following the win, the Lucha Brothers were quick to storm out of the building, causing many to believe this meant that the previous night’s actions, where the Lucha Brothers made a handshake deal with the Young Bucks to sign with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), indicated the Lucha Brothers were finishing up with MLW. But also on Saturday night, MJF returned to MLW to challenge Teddy Hart for the Middleweight title that Hart won following MJF being stripped of the belt following injury, implying that AEW and MLW are allowing talent share, as MJF was announced as signing with AEW last month at the first AEW rally. MLW refused to comment on the situation.
MLW has no comment at this time about @PENTAELZEROM and @ReyFenixMx storming out of @2300Arena following their World Tag Team Championship loss to the #HartFoundation
