On Tuesday, All Elite Wrestling held their Double or Nothing rally, the first official event of the brand new promotion.
During the rally, both AEW’s Chief Brand Officer, Brandi Rhodes and President Tony Khan mentioned a slew of potential international partnerships, collaborations and talent acquisitions. Brandi, in particular, made reference to the women of Australia, so here is a list of the top prospects for the burgeoning promotion.

Madison Eagles
The most decorated of the current Australian free agents, Madison Eagles is a former two-time SHIMMER champion, topped the PWI Female 50 in 2011 and has held every major women’s championship in Australia. Eagles has all of the tools to succeed and is responsible for training the likes of Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Robbie Eagles and countless others. Eagles would be a fantastic addition to the AEW roster both for her in-ring abilities and as a veteran mind to guide the division into the future.
Shazza McKenzie
The current Pro Wrestling Australia (PWA) Women’s Champion, a former Heart Of SHIMMERChampion, and with appearances for NXT on her resume, McKenzie is another name which will bring a veteran presence to AEW. During Brandi Rhodes’ recent tour of Australia with World Series Wrestling (WSW), McKenzie was one of her opponents, so Rhodes will certainly understand the potential McKenzie can bring.

Indi Hartwell
Over the course of just a few short years in the wrestling business, Melbourne’s Indi Hartwell has toured all over Australia and throughout the United States, winning championships and earning her ‘Impressive’ moniker along the way. In 2018, Hartwell began collecting championships throughout Australia and was also beginning to make waves in the United States. In the past 12 months alone Hartwell captured the Riot City Wrestling (RCW), Newcastle Pro Wrestling (Newy Pro) and Battle Championship Wrestling (BCW) Women’s Championships whilst also debuting for SHIMMER, RISE and Bar Wrestling.
FaceBrooke
Training under Robbie Eagles, Madison Eagles and Shazza McKenzie has given FaceBrooke a versatile toolset, which saw her rapidly rising through the ranks in Australia before an unfortunate shoulder injury. Prior to the injury at the end of 2018 FaceBrooke was able to impress officials at SHIMMER, before making her debut for the promotion.
Erika Reid
Known as the “Dream Time Witch”, Erika Reid has a brilliant presence and persona, which plays upon her Aboriginal heritage. Reid is not afraid to embrace the violence and would certainly bring a unique dimension to the women’s division for AEW.
Jessica Troy & Charli Evans
These two ladies are perhaps best known for their tag team work in Shimmer as The Blue Nation, a name which pays homage to their roots in Pro Wrestling Australia as part of the Four Nations stable. Whilst often seen together as a tag team, both ladies can hold their own on the singles front as well.
Troy has faced off against the likes of Toni Storm and Madison Eagles where she was more than competitive in those outings. Evans, who has been based out of England recently, has been making the most of her time in the UK managing to perform for Pro Wrestling EVE, RevPro, PROGRESS and Ring Of Honour (ROH). Whether brought in as a team or as singles performers both of these ladies would be very nice additions.
Avary
For much of her time with Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW), Avary has been the manager for tag team champions The Brat Pack, but in 2018 Avary came into her own as a singles wrestler. Avary’s match against Toni Storm at MCW Ballroom Brawl was her breakout performance and provided a launching pad for her to stake a claim at the top spot in MCW. Following that match Avary would go on to feud with top women’s star Kellyanne, ultimately forcing Kellyanne out of MCW. Whilst still new as an in-ring performer Avary has the potential to be a future star who is willing to embrace her sex appeal while also possessing the athleticism to back it up in the ring.
