Preview: IMPACT/Rockstar Pro ‘Ohio Versus Everything’ (12/14/18)

IMPACT Wrestling continues its ongoing series of live and FREE Twitch specials in conjunction with regional indie promotions when they partner with Ohio’s Rockstar Pro on Friday for Ohio Versus Everything. It will air live at 8pm on IMPACT’s Twitch Channel. Here’s a look at Friday’s card, that hopes to shed light on one of the hottest wrestling regions in the US at present, in the Buckeye state.

Jon Murray vs. Stone Rockwell

IMPACT’s resident Adventurer, Stone Rockwell, has been in limited televised matches for IMPACT since making his debut early this year on Xplosion. He’s only had one actual IMPACT match (against Eli Drake back in September) but is a mainstay on several Twitch specials and One Night Only events. He also hosts the IMPACT Twitch series IRL Adventures with Stone Rockwell on their Twitch channel. He takes on an Ohio indie veteran in Jon Murray, who first broke onto the scene in 2010 with Les Thatcher‘s Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA), before heading to Rockstar Pro in 2013. A former 2x Rockstar Pro Tag Team Champion, he finally became Rockstar Pro Champion this past February, holding the title for 217 days.

Moshpit Scramble: Matt Sydal vs. Ace Austin vs. Trey Miguel vs. Clayton Gainz vs. Kevin Bennett vs. Ron Mathis

Rockstar Pro – and sister company Wrestling Revolver in Iowa – love their Scramble matches and this one features some emerging talent from the Midwest with IMPACT stars. Former IMPACT X-Division Champion Matt Sydal and Rascalz member Trey Miguel enter the fray, that also includes one of Ohio’s breakout stars of 2018, Ace Austin. Kevin Bennett is a star with Buffalo’s Empire State Wrestling (ESW) and Toronto’s Smash Wrestling, while Clayton Gainz is a Rockstar original who is a 5x Rockstar Pro Tag Team Champion. Ron Mathis is another longtime Midwest veteran, debuting for HWA in 2008 and working with Rockstar Pro since 2012, where he’s a former Rockstar Pro Champion. He’s also the current reigning and 2x Premier Championship Wrestling (PCW) Champion out of Cleveland.

Eddie Edwards vs. “Legendary” Larry D

Eddie Edwards continues his descent into madness, as the former IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion takes on a 16-year veteran from Kentucky in the form of “Legendary” Larry D. The former IWA Mid South Heavyweight Champion is always up for a fight and on Friday, this one will get hard and heavy quick.

Allie & Samantha Heights vs. Killer Death Machines (Jessicka Havok & Neveah)

Former IMPACT Knockouts Champion Allie will be teaming up with 5-year pro Samantha Heights, one of Ohio’s emerging women’s talents. Heights has been with Rockstar Pro since 2013, but has also worked extensively for SHIMMER, Queens of Combat (QOC), Smash Wrestling and others. But they may have their work cut out for them, as they face two women who have a long history of an alliance in the Killer Death Machines. Jessicka Havok and Neveah are both members of the Ohio Is For Killers (OI4K) stable that features their spouses (Sami Callihan and Jake Crist respectively) and has been teaming together for years. The Killer Death Machines are no stranger to violence, so for Samantha Heights’ sake, she better hope Dark Allie shows up on Friday.

Zachary Wentz vs. Trevor Lee

Two IMPACT stars go head to head as former 3x IMPACT X-Division Champion Trevor Lee faces off against a Rockstar Pro original in Rascal Zachary Wentz. Two of the best cruiserweights in the US right now, this has the potential to be Match of the Night.

LAX (Santan & Ortiz) vs. Besties in the World vs. The Dirty

A huge tag team match that features three of the top tag teams on the indie circuit,, will see a non-title 3-way featuring IMPACT Tag Team Champions LAX (Santana & Ortiz) face off against Rockstar Pro Tag Team Champions The Dirty (Brandon Edwards & Austin Manix) and The Besties in the World (Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett), who are former 2x Wrestling Revolver Tag Team Champions, 2x All American Wrestling (AAW) Tag Team Champions and Glory Pro Tag Team Champions. A great display featuring two of the top teams in the Midwest against one of the best teams in the world today.

Moose vs. Madman Fulton

Photo: Rockstar Pro

A battle of two giants in the world of wrestling, as “Mr. IMPACT” Moose heads into battle with the 6’9″ Madman Fulton. If Madman Fulton looks familiar, it’s because he spent six years in the WWE’s NXT system as Sawyer Fulton and was last seen as a member of SaNitY before an injury forced him out the stable (and ultimately out of the WWE). Since then, Fulton has taken to the indies, working for Rockstar Pro, Major League Wrestling (MLW), Wrestling Revolver and others. This will be a hoss fight, pure and simple.

oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist & Dave Crist) vs The Night Ryderz (Rockstar Pro World Champion Dustin Rayz, Alex Colon & Aaron Williams)

Photo: Rockstar Pro

The main event will see Ohio’s greatest export currently in IMPACT’s oVe (Sami Callihan, Dave & Jake Crist) face the reigning Rockstar Pro Champion Dustin Rayz teaming with The Night Ryderz duo of Alex Colon and Aaron Williams, in an oVe Rules Match. Which pretty means anything can – and will – happen. This will be a true battle for Ohio and in the words of director Paul Thomas Anderson, “There Will Be Blood”.
