LJN Rubber Action Figures Making A Return To Pro Wrestling

If you were a child of the 1980’s and a fan of pro wrestling, chances are you had some of the Wrestling Superstars collection of 8″ rubber action figures produced by LJN from 1984 through 1989 (when LJN closed their toy division). Featuring all of the top stars from the WWF during the height of the Rock N’ Wrestling Era, from Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, to Roddy Piper and The Hart Foundation, in even included managers like Bobby Heenan, Mr. Fuji and Miss Elizabeth. Even today, these are still treasured items for collectors.

Well it appears that LJN is making a return to the world of producing wrestling themed action figures, but it appears that they won’t be resuming their partnership with the WWF (now the WWE). On Monday afternoon, Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks released a photo and Tweet that the Bucks had signed a deal with LJN to produce Young Bucks figures, presumably in the old Wrestling Superstars mold.

With indie wrestling at an all time high, LJN may be looking to market action figures for many of the indies top stars, and The Young Bucks are smart investments for re-starting the once popular line of WWE action figures.
