The first match announcement tonight features two of the top women on the independent wrestling scene, with one on her way to stardom with the WWE and the other embarking on a career with IMPACT Wrestling. Toni Storm just won the 2018 Mae Young Classic in the finals held at WWE Evolution, where she defeated Stardom rival, Io Shirai. She’s also a part of NXT UK, but continues her journey on the global indie scene, still working for PROGRESS and Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), where she just won her second wXw Women’s Championship. It the past year, Toni Storm won the World of Stardom Championship, PROGRESS Women’s Championship, and her first wXw Women’s title, as well as won other tournaments like PROGRESS Natural Selection IV, Stardom’s Cinderella 2017, Stardom’s 2017 5*Star Grand Prix and wXw’s Femme Fatales 2017. She also made the finals of last month’s SHE-1 Series, before losing to Hayter.
Jordynne Grace is a 8-year veteran of the ring and she’s only 22 years old, but in the past year, she’s emerged as one of the breakout stars of 2018. Apart from her recent debut with IMPACT Wrestling, she’s been a regular with Beyond Wrestling, Shine Wrestling, Black Label Pro (BLP), NOVA Pro, Women’s Wrestling Revolution, Smash Wrestling and others, capturing the Battle Club Pro (BCP) ICONS Championship, Pro Wrestling Magic (PWM) Women’s Championship, BLP Heavyweight Championship and the Women’s Superstars Uncensored (WSU) Spirit Championship (which she still holds). “Thicc Mama Pump” is a powerhouse of a force in the ring and having a match against another of the top talents in the world like Toni Storm is a dream match for fans of either wrestler.
While this is their first ever singles match-up together, it will be their third time working together. The two became acquainted during PROGRESS Wrestling’s US Tour this summer, first tagging together in Philadelphia (alongside Ashley Vox from CHIKARA) against Jinny, Natalia Markova & Solo Darling, and then competing in a Fatal Four Way for Jinny’s PROGRESS Women’s Championship, along with Markova, in Detroit. Grace is slated for her UK debut with PROGRESS this coming Monday, where she faces Millie McKenzie and Isla Dawn at PROGRESS Chapter 79: One Big Neck With Sausage Hands.
If you can’t make it live to see SHEvivor Series, it will be up VOD on EVE On-Demand shortly after the event wraps up, where you can also catch previous cards from EVE.
